Victoria Beckham’s Make Up In Under 5 Minutes

Many of us have grown up with Victoria Beckham and have fond memories of when she first burst onto the scene back in 1994, telling the world what she really, really wanted and introducing the world to girl power with the Spice Girls.

She’s long since left the music industry behind and has carved out a successful career as a respected fashion designer heading up her own clothing empire  – proving legions of nay-sayers who said she couldn’t do it wrong – and collecting numerous accolades and awards along the way.

So imagine our excitement when we heard that Victoria has teamed up with cosmetic powerhouse Estée Lauder to create a 14-piece limited-edition make-up collection of lipsticks, eyeshadows, second-skin highlighters and matte bronzers.

It comes after Victoria decided to share the knowledge she has gleaned throughout her career from working with, “the best makeup artists and stylists and photographers since I was eighteen years old.”

These include “all the little tricks” she has learned from Pat McGrath, Val Garland, Charlotte Tilbury and other top beauty insiders, with tips like lining the inner rim of your eyelids with a light beige eyeliner can open them up when you’re tired. (This works brilliantly, by the way).

There are four micro collections, and each of them are named after her favourite cities; London, New York, Paris and Los Angeles – with a different vibe for each one. London is “a bit edgy, a little bit rock-’n’-roll, a little sweaty,” while Paris is all about “sophistication” and “fashion,” New York is “statement colour” and Los Angeles is “youthful and fresh.”

Every morning, Victoria makes sure she cleanses, tones and then moisturises with a tinted lotion to which she adds a couple of drops of hydrating face oil. Her Estée Lauder illuminating cream incorporates these elements and works as a brightening primer and moisturiser that also tightens.

As Victoria herself says, “Who doesn’t love that?”

“I want to make it really, really easy to get this look,” Beckham insists. “If I can do it as a busy working mum with four children, anybody can. You don’t have to be a professional makeup artist. This doesn’t have to take up huge amounts of time.”

And she means it: Watch Victoria doing her make-up in under five minutes below.
