Why Embracing Hormone Balance Is Crucial For Great Health

As we hit our thirties and beyond, we all start to lose that lovely, boundless youthful energy we had in our teens and early twenties. Our hair might start to thin or fall out, weight often creeps on unexpectedly and, for women, periods can become heavy and painful and are signalled by awful PMT – as well as hormonal pimples or constant tiredness.

What causes all of this? – More often than not, the sneaky culprit lurking behind the scenes is what scientists call hormonal decline, which is usually the reason why people start to feel more tired and suffer hormone-related issues like PMT and heavy periods as they edge towards their mid-thirties onwards.

The science is this; back in the days when we were able to stay up all night cramming for exams, or could happily go out dancing until the early hours without even suffering a hangover the next day, our bodies were releasing a lovely, steady stream of HGH (Human Growth Hormone) whenever we slept. HGH repairs and renews our body’s tissues, but as we age our natural levels of HGH start to decrease, which results in slower healing, less energy, a tendency to gain weight more easily and skin losing its youthful elasticity and plumpness.

There are things which you can do though: eating a balanced, nutritious diet and regular exercise is crucial, as is avoiding stress and taking daily ‘me time’ to relax and nurture yourself. There’s solid proof that meditation and yoga lower your body’s cortisol levels – which can cause havoc if left unchecked.

Dr. Sara Palmer Hussey has identified hormonal decline as one of the nine causes of ageing –  along with glycation, inflammation, telomere shortening, cellular debris, cellular energy decline, insulin resistance, DNA damage and oxidative damage.

The good news is that Sara formulated Lumity specifically to counteract all of those nine causes simultaneously, using high quality ingredients that make a tangible difference to your skin, health and overall wellbeing if taken day and night – as instructed.

Sara explains: “Hormones work as an orchestra in the body; when in balance, the result is optimum health and well-being, but, when one hormone goes off-balance, it has a disrupting influence on the whole symphony.

“Human growth hormone (HGH) has been identified as the body’s master hormone, the conductor that keeps all members of the orchestra in tune, in step and best contributing to the greatest good of the whole. Its levels decline as we age, but it can be naturally promoted through the integration of three amino acids, l-glutamine, l-arginine and l-lysine.

“Taken just before bedtime (in Lumity’s nighttime capsules), this unique amino acid combination naturally stimulates the youthful release of the body’s own human growth hormone. Youthful levels of HGH regenerate and rebalance our whole body to give us more youthful skin, healthy lean muscle, greater strength and endurance, a stronger more responsive immune system, stronger energy levels – especially in the morning upon waking up – and improved mental clarity and alertness. HGH also balances our hormonal system. So, if PMS is holding us back, this balancing effect can help. Similarly, it can also help with menopausal issues and protect bone density as we grow older.”

But that’s not all, Sara says that Lumity’s daytime capsules will also help with hormonal issues, fatigue and help rebalance women who are grappling with hormone issues:

“Lumity’s daytime capsules help counteract insulin resistance, which can be responsible for weight gain, fatigue and hormonal imbalances, especially during menopause, restoring vitality, strength and balance,” Sara explains.

“Lumity’s daytime capsules contain vitamins A, C, D and E, turmeric, zinc and magnesium, known to alleviate PMS and menopausal symptoms. Lumity’s daytime and nighttime formulae are both encapsulated in flaxseed oil, which is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids and phytoestrogens, both important nutrients that will help ease menopausal imbalances.”

The longer you take Lumity, the better you will look and feel, and one of the first things which our female clients notice is that they no longer have unbearable PMT, heavy periods, or hormonal acne to deal with each month. Hair and nails start to grow more quickly and they’ll often notice that they’re losing weight more easily, not suffering from a mid-afternoon slumps, or needing lunchtime naps. After a couple of months their doctors often comment how quickly they’re healing – as happened with Yasmin Le Bon after her road traffic accident in India.

And, if you’re looking for another sign that Lumity is working, then better sleep at night is usually one of the first things which our clients notice. It does take time and, as is the case with all of the best things in life, patience is the key.
