Anti-aging skincare for when you don’t want Botox

If you want to regain your youthful complexion but you don’t want to go under the knife, we’ve got some smart solutions for needle-free treatments which can help avoid premature ageing.

Looking and feeling our best as we age is important, and sometimes in our quest for wrinkle free skin and an age-defying glow it can be tempting to turn to a quick fix solution like Botox. While the muscle freezing procedure might suit many, it’s completely possible to turn back the hands of time without going under the needle or the knife.

Collagen Wave

Collagen Wave stimulates collagen production with a radio-frequency facial. Collagen is essential for keeping skin plumped up and wrinkle free. This treatment works by heating the skin deep from within to produce plenty of collagen while also lifting and firming the upper layers of the skin.

Mel C has the treatments alongside taking her Lumity supplements and says her skin has never looked better. If it’s good enough for a Spice Girl it’s good enough for us!

It’s recommended you initially have 3-10 sessions between 1-4 weeks apart with a maintenance session every 3-6 months.

Lumity skincare regime

The right skincare regime is essential for younger looking skin, and sticking with it consistently is also key.

Lumity’s Morning and Night Supplements taken twice a day, alongside a simple two-step facial routine will see smoother skin and fewer wrinkles – plus there’s a clinical trial that backs these findings up!

After taking your morning capsules – which offer an array of other wellness benefits too – cleanse your face with Lumity’s 4-in-1 Cleanse. It’ll remove makeup and pollution, gently exfoliate and act as a facial mask too.

Once you’ve removed the cleanser, apply Lumity’s Skin Nutrients Facial Oil for optimum skin nourishment. The routine is gentle enough to do twice a day, every day, but oh so effective.

Realine patches

These tiny wrinkle-targeting patches are great for conquering specific areas you’re concerned with. So if your crows feet or frown lines are getting you down, or you feel like your pout could do with some pampering, these patches are for you.

The tiny patches plump up the area with hyaluronic acid and marine extract, and work their magic in about 20-30 minutes.

Facial massage

It’s not just the products that you put on your face but the way you apply them. A-list facialist Nichola Joss swears by facial massage using Lumity’s Skin Nutrients Facial Oil. Her simple but effective technique will lift and tone your face, remove tension and give your facial muscles a mini workout. Nicole uses the massage on her clients, who have included Meghan Markle, Gisele Bundchen and Jennifer Lopez, but shared with Lumity how you can do facial massage at home too.

Tepezcohuite creams

Tepozcohuite is a natural ingredient which is a great for healing skin. It’s been used in Mexico and South America for centuries but is now making waves worldwide. If you’re looking for a moisturiser to help reduce wrinkles and blemishes from ageing, then a tepozcohuite based cream could be for you. Salma Hayek swears by the healing cream and says it’s the reason she doesn’t need Botox or fillers.

Microdermabrasion

Dull, lackluster looking skin doesn’t scream youthful, but microdermabrasion can bring the glow back. The treatment exfoliates and rejuvenates the skin and can reduce the appearance of fine lines, age spot, acne and even out skin tone too.  Microdermabrasion can improve the texture of your skin and also stimulate the production of collagen.

There’s little to no recovery time so you can leave the skincare clinic and resume normal activity.

You can also make a marked improvement to your skin by looking at what you eat. There are foods to reduce wrinkles and foods which make you look younger too!
