Do you ever wish you had a set morning routine to follow to set you up for the day ahead? Humans are creatures of habit after all and sticking to the same daily pattern becomes easier the longer you do it for, as your natural body clock kicks in. Perhaps you would love to get up earlier, exercise before work or take some time to meditate? Maybe you’d like to adapt your morning diet to better fuel your body for the day?
If you’d like to make a change but aren’t sure how, take some inspiration from these super-motivated celebrities who stick to the same morning routine each day…
If only we could be as motivated as actress Jennifer. The movie star gets up at 4.30am on days that she’s working and washes her face before doing twenty minutes’ meditation. She then has breakfast and starts her fitness session, which can include spinning and yoga. She has revealed: “I do strength training or just my own thing on the treadmill, the bike, or the elliptical, just to change things up.” Impressive stuff.
Like Jennifer, fellow Hollywood resident Kate also loves to wake up early but her morning routine is a little different to the former Friends star. The daughter of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell bravely dips her face in an ice bath each day to invigorate the skin. “A makeup artist who has worked with dozens of people said, ‘I used to work with this actor and every day he would stick his face in an ice bath,” revealed Kate. “I started doing it.” The trick is known to reduce skin inflammation and redness and fight acne.
Supermodel Helena is a huge fan of taking Lumity and makes sure she takes the supplement in the morning and evening. She has said: “Before, I was taking all these different vitamins in tiny little boxes, but I realised that Lumity contained a lot of the ingredients in one place and then a few more that I wanted to try.” Helena revealed that she was interested in the ingredients turmeric, flaxseed and vitamin D and admits she feels better for taking Lumity.
The matriarch of the world-famous Kardashian clan is another star early bird. Her morning starts as so: “I’ll get up at 4:30 or five in the morning and have coffee, check my emails real quick, hop on the treadmill, turn on the news, get caught up with what is going on.” She explains that after doing her cardio workout she feels mentally and physically ready to deal with the day ahead and her hour on the treadmill is ‘golden time’.
Her Majesty may not be running on the treadmill at 5am, but she does adhere to a fixed morning routine. The Queen is thought to rise at 7.30, have a cup of tea and breakfast, then listen to the news and the Today programme before looking at government documents so she’s up to date with the world’s events.
We absolutely love the morning habit of the late Marilyn. The actress was fastidious about eating a particular dish each morning to prepare her for the day. She said: “Before I take my morning shower, I start warming a cup of milk on the hot plate I keep in my hotel room. When it’s hot, I break two raw eggs into the milk, whip them up with a fork, and drink them while I’m dressing. I supplement this with a multi-vitamin pill, and I doubt if any doctor could recommend a more nourishing breakfast for a working girl in a hurry’.
