How to look after your skin when you’re under stress

During times of worry and stress it’s not only your mind and body that can get a little overwhelmed, your skin can pay the price as well. But you don’t have to let those stress hormones take over your complexion, because there are ways to keep the glow, even in times of woe. 

It can be frustrating when your skincare regime hasn’t changed and yet your complexion has suddenly gone completely downhill. If you’re noticing you’re breaking out in spots, your skin is dry or your face just looks a little lackluster, stress could be the culprit. 

We often think about the effects stress has on our waistlines and our minds, but we forget the enormous impact it can have on skin. 

While stress may be unavoidable – especially in the current climate – there are things you can do to protect your skin and slow down the damage it causes.

Remember your skincare regime

With so much buzzing around in our brains you may have let your skincare regime dwindle, without even realising it. 

Forgetting to cleanse your skin for starters could be leaving it prone to breakouts and while one day of missed moisturiser might not make much of a difference, over time it can definitely leave you high and very dry.

Eat and drink well
