Beautiful actress Cate, who has starred in movies such as The Aviator and Elizabeth, turns 50 on 14 May. We adore her individual style, personal drive and attitude to ageing. She has previously told Vogue: “I don’t think about ageing at all until someone brings it up. [When] I think of some of the most inspiring faces, it’s Louise Bourgeois and Georgia O’Keeffe. I’m looking into the spirit of the woman and that’s what I love.”
The star has also shared some of her beauty secrets for achieving flawless skin, revealing she uses a cream moisturiser, an SPF product and a recovery oil each day to protect her skin from the weather.
Multi-talented performer Jennifer Lopez is 50 on July 24 and there’s no denying she looks incredible for her age – shiny hair, youthful skin and a toned figure we are all envious of. It’s not luck though; Jennifer works hard to look great. The mum-of-two is known for her love of fitness and avoids caffeine, alcohol and eats a clean diet. Her trainer Tracey Anderson has said of her food plan: “It’s all organic and it’s all very well thought out, with the balance of very high quality proteins and a lot of nutrient-dense food… everything is fresh.”
Jennifer is a proponent of mindfulness, which is fantastic for reducing stress and anxiety. The singer likes to practice morning and night, revealing: “Affirmations are so important. I am youthful and timeless. I tell myself that every day, a few times a day.”
Welsh-born actress Catherine enjoys a wonderful life in the US with her actor husband Michael Douglas and their two children. She keeps fit by swimming, playing tennis and tap dancing and has a healthy attitude towards food. Former Friends star Jennifer celebrated her 50th birthday on February 11 this year in true style, with a fabulous star-studded party at her Hollywood home. Jen is one of those A-listers who never seems to age, known for her love of yoga and healthy eating. She previously said: “I don’t think life stops after 50 – if anything, it gets more and more exciting.”
One of Jennifer’s top tips is the less is more approach when it comes to makeup. She recalled: “I had a boyfriend who always said I looked better without makeup. It took me a while to feel comfortable enough to remove that armour, but I eventually realized he was right.”
Singer Gwen of hit band No Doubt is absolutely gorgeous and we’ve seen her get a new lease of life since she started dating country singer Blake Shelton two years ago, following her split from husband Gavin Rossdale. Gwen turns 50 on 3 October and is really loving life right now. She said recently: “I’m really grateful for every moment that passes. All I know is that I have a lot to look forward to.”
Gwen has credited Blake with changing her life, saying of her partner: “He’s my homeboy. He’s my homey. He’s just really an amazing all-around human so I feel so grateful for that.”
