If you have problem hair it could be time to turn to oils. No matter what the issue there might be an incredible oil to turn your hair problems around.

Whether it’s dandruff, frizz or thinning hair that’s making you hide your head under a hat you’ll be pleased to know that a simple oil could be the answer.

Almond oil for dandruff

No one wants the shoulders of their little black dress – or just their favourite dark t-shirt for that matter – covered in tiny white specks. A dry scalp can cause unsightly dandruff but almond oil is packed with goodness to reduce inflammation, redness and the dreaded white stuff. This light oil contains antioxidants, fatty acids and vitamin E and it’s also high in magnesium which will help your hair grow. Massage it onto your scalp regularly to start seeing results.

Rosemary oil for thinning hair and premature grey

Rosemary essential oil is no newbie in the world of hair health. For thousands of years it has been used as a remedy for thinning and brittle hair. It’s even been proven to help prevent premature greying. You could try adding a few drops of rosemary oil to your shampoo or dilute some with a carrier oil and apply it on the scalp overnight. It can take several months to work so use it diligently and don’t give up if you don’t see results ASAP.

Macadamia oil for frizzy or curly hair

If you want smooth, shiny hair then macadamia oil is the one for you. When the oil binds to the hair it infuses it with fatty acids to make it stronger and healthier. Since it also contains antioxidants it can help protect the hair from environmental damages.

If you have curly hair that’s a bit more frizz than fabulous then macadamia oil is great for taming, moisturising and untangling it. By locking in the moisture your hair will have more luscious curls.

Baobab oil for boosting hair growth

It’s oaded with vitamins, A, D, E and F which together improve elasticity and reduces breakage. The clever combo also encourages cell regeneration to make your hair grow faster.

Abyssinian oil for fine hair

Just because you’ve got fine hair doesn’t mean that you can’t use oil. While many can be heavy and leave fine hair looking lank, abyssinian oil is extremely light weight. Its molecular structure also makes it pretty heat resistant so it can be smoothed over tresses before being styled with your favourite heated tool.
