A lack of time doesn’t mean you can’t live a healthy lifestyle - we've put together our favourite one minute health hacks for busy women

A lack of time doesn’t mean you can’t live a healthy lifestyle and with these one-minute hacks there’s no excuse for not fitting at least some of them into your day.

It’s easy to say it’s only a half hour of exercise or just 10-minutes of meditation but when that is on top of the house work, freshly prepared lunches, a home cooked meal, work and looking after a family suddenly it feels like you haven’t got a second in the day to care for yourself.

While we can’t stress the importance of leading an active healthy lifestyle there are times when it can feel close to impossible. But don’t feel demoralised and instead give your body and your brain a boost with these super speedy lifestyle hacks which will make you feel better about yourself.

One minute of exercise

That sounds easy right? Although it takes more than one minute of movement to keep you in shape and healthy if you’re seriously stuck for time try squeezing in one minute of exercise 20 times a day. It’s not a forever fixer but as Fit4mum founder Melissa Lorch says ‘one is better than none’.

Take your supplements

There are many beauty routines and products which work but often they require time that you simply do not have. But Lumity Day and Night Supplements take mere minutes. The all-natural supplements won’t just keep you looking good they can help improve your performance too. The three nighttime capsules can assist with a better night’s sleep too meaning you can wake up fresh and raring to go.

If you’re worried you’ll forget to take them follow some of Lumity’s tips to remembering to take your supplements.

Make a list

Your work load – whether at the office or at home or both – can feel like a weight on your shoulder but just writing a list and getting organised can release some of that pressure. Making a manageable list of what you want to achieve that day and you’ll instantly feel calmer and more in control – especially when you start ticking things off.

Have a cold shower

We’re not talking about braving a 10-minute soak in sub zero temperatures but finishing your shower with a a cold blast for 10-20 seconds is not only beneficial to your skin and your hair but it’s great for an exhilarating burst of alertness too.

Dance

Do you ever feel sad or drained after whacking on your favourite tune and having a dance? We doubt it. For a mood boosting start to the day or even if you’re in a funk at midday put on an upbeat song and move.

Facial massage

A full facial isn’t an option in the morning but you can still give your skin the nutrients and treatment it deserves with a Lumity Skin Nutrients Facial Oil massage. Just a minute or two of your time can boost collagen, destress you and give your skin an all-natural glow.

Get Some Fresh Air

Rather than reaching for the coffee pot try taking a brisk one minute walk outside to give yourself some energy. A few short walks add up and breathing in fresh air is good for your health. It can help you digest your food better, improve blood pressure and strengthen the immunity. Not to mention it just feels relaxing.
